Is California State University Los Angeles (CSULA) for stupid people?

The main difference between CSULA and UCLA is that the professors are better at UCLA, and UCLA has more infrastructure and more funding for research. That is always the main difference between a "good" university and one that is "less good." It might not matter that much if you want to study accounting, but if you want to do something that has a research element like, say, psychology or biology, it matters a lot. There are guides like "Princeton Review" that will list the average SAT scores of incoming students. That will give you a measure (admittedly a very crude measure) of whether UCLA students are smarter than those at CSULA.
