Inexpensive hotels around the grand Canyon?

Is there any nice and inexpensive hotels around the entrance of the Grand Canyon? I read that there are rail train to take you there, is there limited parking that's why they have rail train? How much is the train fair? I heard that are many scenic sites/entrance in there...which one is the closest to the sky walker?
