HELP : Soda on carpet?

Neutralize the soap with white vinegar so that the detergents don't attract dirt from your shoes and airbone dust to become a mystery stain later. Then suck up the excess liquid with a wet/dry vac. If you don't have a wet/dry vac, take a thick terry towel, place it over the damp area and hop up and down on it with your full body weight. This will draw the liquid up from the padding. Continue to do this changing the towel to dry areas until no more moisture comes up.
