I have positioning problems with early version (v.8.1) of Pinnacle Studio's opening screen.?

I have version 8.1 of Pinnacle Software's program (I got it with an old copy of Video Editing for Dummies), and have used it once. However, now the opening screen positions itself above the top of the computer screen, so that the program's top is inaccessible, and cannot be "grabbed" and moved downward. Is there any way to move the opening screen downward when one cannot reach the task bar? (I still am unfamiliar with the names of each of the bars. I am using the term "task bar" to mean the bar at the very top which has the terms File and Edit, as well as others.)
