Please help me on this question?

i am a 32 year old male with 2 jobs. i work a 37 hours a week in my first job and 18 hours a week in my second job. my wife is on maternity with our daughter who ia 3 months old she recives �300 maturity pay a month. i pay over �700 in tax each month and live in a 1 bed house that we rent. we have put our names down on the council list and local housing list for over 1 year and nothing has been offerd to us and nothing will by the phone call i made to the housing yesterday. i carnt rise the deposit for a morgage as they want �14,000 for that. we can afford repayments on the morgage but not the deposit. why do councils give housing to people that dont give a s h i t about anyone, who have no jobs, and cliam dole? i am willing to pay all my bills and my rent pay my taxes and n.i to rent a place off the council and pay my way. do you think it right that sbags get eveything and all us working cl people get nothing?
