Should police use tasers before guns?

Yes, I think police should use tasers before guns. Just because they have them doesn't mean they would use them more often than guns. Police are trained to only use necessary force, which means if no weapon is needed then they won't use one. In training (at least where I work) you must be pepper sprayed, hit multiple times with a baton, and tasered if you carry these weapons. Pepper spray and batons are always used before guns and tasers anyway. At least this is how police are trained. And the police I work with follow this training. This may not be the case with every incident but that's not because they probably weren't good cops. And even if you only shoot to injure there is a good chance that there will be significant damage or death anyway. I don't have an opinion on the rest.
